- ➤ Demon Tyrone Johnson Sr., 40, allegedly sexually abused a disabled woman at her home on Monday and was charged on Wednesday with first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree burglary — he is held without bond at Cole County Jail. ABC 17

- ➤ JeffTran will offer students free rides on the Tripper Routes for the Fall 2025 semester — the service picks up students from Helias Catholic High School, Jefferson City High School, and St. Peter School before heading to the JeffTran Transfer Station at 820 E. - ➤ The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin work on the westbound bridge over the Moreau River Drainage on Highway 54 south of Jefferson City on August 11.
