- ➤ Former Centertown postmaster Arthur Thompson (33) died from the Spanish flu in early 1919 after moving to Centertown in 1910. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday afternoon, the Rise Up Foundation hosted Cupcakes and Conversations for girls ages 9—19 in Jefferson City to talk about sexual violence prevention and online safety—community leaders shared personal experiences to empower attendees. The foundation will partner with Lincoln University for a Denim Day Poetry Slam on April 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Scruggs ballroom, followed by a vigil and candlelit walk. KRCG-TV
