- ➤ On Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, local residents joined Capital City Christian Church's annual Journey to Bethlehem, a re-enactment that recreated a first-century Nazareth and traced the historic path of Mary + Joseph through Jefferson City. Jefferson City News Tribune

- ➤ Southern Boone district will vote on Dec. 15 on a proposal to adopt a four day week starting 2026-2027 to address teacher shortages - parents and teachers expressed concerns that the change may reduce student learning while Harrisburgs earlier experience has been positive. KRCG-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Friday, Governor Mike Kehoe declared December as Christmas tree month at the Capitol Rotunda when family businesses presented a Missouri-grown tree and wreath. The Missouri Tree Growers Association selected winners from Booneville's Pines Christmas Tree Farm and Wellington's Route 24 Christmas Tree Farm + the event showcased local agritourism. KRCG-TV
- ➤ Families of Missourians urged state lawmakers during a Nov. 11 meeting to protect self-directed services (a Medicaid program that lets families manage care for those with developmental disabilities) as looming federal cuts threaten future funding.
