- ➤ KWOS Commerce Bank hosts a One-For-One Holiday Food Drive on Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 6a to 6p to benefit The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. Donations at the Columbia Mall (by Wendy’s) and at Buchheits off Missouri Blvd in Jefferson City can turn $1 into 3 meals. KWOS
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Erika Leonard, elected in 2022, is stepping down as the Jefferson City School Board President to devote more time to family & work, and the board will soon begin searching for a new leader before her term ends in 2028. KWOS
- ➤ The Jefferson City Board of Education accepted the resignation of President Erika Leonard Wednesday night, and Vice President Anne Warren now serves as interim president during a board reorganization. The board will begin accepting applications for the vacancy through Jan. 7 as it prepares for April elections. KRCG-TV

- ➤ Moniteau County farmer Andy Clay was elected Missouri Farm Bureau's vice president this week after three rounds of voting by more than 500 members + he will work with President Garrett Hawkins on policy matters including energy and property rights. The Missouri Times
