- ➤ Hundreds of Jefferson City residents paid $15 on Sunday to join Trinity Lutheran Church’s annual Fall Dinner—an event that featured homemade food and fundraising efforts and carried a decades-old tradition of community unity. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ The Salvation Army in Jefferson City is facing a volunteer shortage for its Red Kettle Campaign as only six of eleven locations have ringers, which limits funds for meal services, clothing, and shelter upkeep. Major Chris Clarke said residents can help by volunteering for an hour+ moving the campaign closer to its $410,000 goal. KRCG-TV
- ➤ Janet Adkison, director of public affairs and advocacy at MOFB, was inducted into the NAFB Hall of Fame on Nov. 20—joining Gale Cunningham as part of the 2025 class and being honored for her long work in farm broadcasting. The Missouri Times

- ➤ Jefferson City's Katie Dancer is a classically trained flutist who created Flute Journey, a multimedia concert that mixes music with nature storytelling+footage from her outdoor adventures. She has performed in regional cities and will perform in Columbia on Dec. 4 at the Columbia Public Library. Jefferson City News Tribune
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Jefferson City firefighters will have at least 19 personnel on duty this Thanksgiving and Captain Billy Bolden hopes for a calm day while emergencies continue to be managed. Bolden reminded residents to allow plenty of time and use proper safety equipment like fire extinguishers and smoke alarms for a safe holiday. KRCG-TV
- ➤ The Governor and First Lady delivered about 100 meal kits with turkey or ham and side dishes to Jefferson City families last week as part of the Mansion on a Mission program — area school kids helped pack and deliver the meals. KWOS

- ➤ Beau Buhr came off the bench on Saturday to replace injured Tyler Bax and led Blair Oaks to a 59-7 win over Summit Christian by passing perfectly and running for 66 yards. He is set to start next season—his play gave the team its fifth win in a row. Jefferson City News Tribune
