COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Families in Jefferson City are invited to a magical princess party today at 1315 Fairgrounds Road hosted by volunteers from the Little Explorers Discovery Center. Attendees can enjoy meet-and-greet sessions with princes and princesses, photo ops, autographs, and a 10-minute royal medley performance — tickets are $20 with proceeds benefiting local early-childhood education and childcare.  KRCG-TV

CRIME NEWS

  • Mid-Missouri residents were shocked after a Boone County woman was charged with animal abuse at her dog breeding operation—Missouri law did not require routine inspections unless complaints were filed.  ABC 17

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Students in Lincoln University’s SW 310 Intercultural Communication course volunteered at local agencies—packing buddy packs, assembling wellness kits, and stocking food pantries to support Jefferson City families. The projects helped prepare thousands of essential items and strengthened the students' intercultural skills.  Lincoln University of Missouri

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Mike Kehoe and First Lady Claudia Kehoe invite families to join the first tree lighting and Candlelight Tours at the Governor’s Mansion this December 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. and December 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. — special guests from St. Raymond's Society and donation stations from Toys for Tots support the Mansion on a Mission charity — and the theme is Saint Nicholas: A Season of Giving.  KRCG-TV
  • The parking lane on Stadium Boulevard outside Helias Catholic High School in Jefferson City will be closed next week for sidewalk repairs with crews working from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday + the northbound lane on Myrtle Avenue will be closed for shorter periods on Monday and Wednesday.  ABC 17
