GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Jefferson City's food code requires that local food-service establishments be inspected at least every six months — violations that risk food contamination or environmental hazards are promptly addressed by inspectors. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Missourians will be able to legally bet on sports when regulated platforms launch at midnight on Dec. 1, offering clear consumer protections and responsible gaming tools. Pre-registration began Nov. 17 and the system will also fund millions for Missouri classrooms + support dedicated efforts to address problem gaming. The Missouri Times

- ➤ Blair Oaks defense held strong against the Centralia Panthers in the Class 2 District 5 Tournament championship game on Friday as the team won 19-8 at the Falcon Athletic Complex. Defensive lineman Carson Luebbering credited tough practice for the team’s stamina despite Centralia’s 30:12 ball possession — a key factor that secured the win. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Missouri Tiger football improved to 7-3 after a 49-27 win over Mississippi State on senior night in Columbia—where star running back Ahmad Hardy rushed 25 times for 300 yards and scored three touchdowns.
