ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A fire broke out in the laundry room at America's Best Value Inn at 1600 Jefferson Street on Sunday evening and was brought under control within 15 minutes without injuring any of the 17 people inside — the fire department is still investigating the cause.  ABC 17

CULTURE NEWS

  • Author Jeremy Ämick released his book 'Never Been Any Reason' on Oct. 29 to reveal the story of Head East—he spent a year gathering interviews to trace the band's early days, lineup changes, and recording sessions at Golden Voice Recording Company. A Kansas City book release event will be held on Dec. 6 at Big Dude's Music City.  Jefferson City News Tribune
