- ➤ Ahead of Veterans Day, local residents honored veterans by lining the Bicentennial Bridge with over 4,000 homemade red poppies—an annual tribute organized by local groups that leads garlands down to Deborah Cooper Park at Adrian’s Island. - ➤ Lincoln University and Aetna CVS Health have partnered to bring fresh produce to food-insecure communities across Missouri—using funds to help local farmers and community groups distribute high-quality crops this year—and they plan to expand the program into 2026 if it meets its goals. - ➤ Lincoln University hosted a free full-day Small Ruminant Practical Course this fall at its George Washington Carver Farm where 75 local farmers learned techniques such as rotational grazing, nutrition, parasite prevention and market strategies for sheep and goats—practical methods meant to boost herd health and profitability.
