- ➤ Itsy Bitsy Broadway is searching for a permanent performance space to secure its future and has launched a GoFundMe campaign that seeks donations to reach a goal of $8,000-$10,000. The Jefferson City children's theater group, which has performed at Capital Mall for nearly a decade, may build a domed theatre that is economical in construction and weather-resistant. - ➤ A new mystery film—Trivia Night Mysteries: A Question of Murder—began filming Monday morning in the 100 block of East High Street near Capitol City Cinema and Board in Jefferson City. Producer Cole Payne, a Russellville native who moved to Los Angeles in 2003, said filming will continue over the next few weeks in various local locations. Jefferson City News Tribune

- ➤ Russellville Jr./Sr. High School now holds TRIBE—a weekly half-hour class that brings 7th to 12th grade students together for team-building and school spirit activities. The program challenges students with school-set tasks as they build unity. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Lincoln University revived its music program this spring after it was cut nearly 10 years ago—its Board of Curators approved a Bachelor of Arts in Music in fall 2024 and launched the program at the start of the spring semester. Jefferson City News Tribune
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Missouri sought federal approval on Monday to reshape its SNAP program so that benefits are used for healthy food, Gov. Mike Kehoe and the state Department of Social Services announced. - ➤ Doug Reece, the former city administrator of St. Martins, attended a ribbon cutting at Niekamp Park on Monday and found a new trail bearing his name and a rocking horse set up for the event—he noted the project succeeded thanks to local businesses and groups. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Taxing districts and property owners filed a lawsuit in Cole County Circuit Court Friday to challenge a law that split residential property into classes for 97 counties, giving some a cap on tax increases and leaving others with no cap—lawyers say the system violates the state constitution's equal protection clause—by treating similar taxpayers differently.
