- ➤ Jefferson City approved business licenses today for companies such as Missouri Games LLC for amusement vending, Capital Fitness for retail, and ILG Technologies for an unspecified business. The approvals also cover festival organizers, contractor services and other retail operators—adding a variety of business options for the city. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Carla Kessell and Tiffany Walker are renovating the space at 413 E. Capitol Ave to open Matriarcha Coffee and Kitchen — a restaurant that will serve a mix of European and Midwestern flavors by expanding the kitchen area. The restaurant will soon welcome diners. Jefferson City News Tribune

- ➤ Two local residents have been selected for a fellowship that trains leaders in early childhood education and advocacy—Jefferson City parent Autumn Burr and Tebbetts child care provider Samantha Lacefield will gain hands-on experience to improve early care programs. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Immaculate Conception parishioners viewed plans for a new school building at an event on Saturday, and the church said the first phase of construction will begin in the spring (the project will serve local students). Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Jefferson City High School will celebrate Homecoming this week with a Great Gatsby theme when students will take part in a powder puff game at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Adkins Stadium and later gather for a bonfire to announce the Homecoming queen. Jefferson City News Tribune

- ➤ The Missouri House of Representatives will start its final technical session today at 5:30 p.m. before opening the floor for special debate on Monday over redistricting plans.
