ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Since early August, first responders reported four deer-related vehicle crashes—in Pettis County, Montgomery City, Boone, and Cole counties—that injured several people, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol said such incidents are not out of the ordinary as deer remain active at sunrise and sunset. - ➤ Jefferson City must fill two leadership roles by next month as Clint Smith, the director of Planning and Protective Services, will leave on Sept. 24—he is moving to Columbia as the community development director. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Jefferson City Council will vote on Monday on a $4.8M five-year contract with PCI Municipal Services to manage city parking operations during the demolition and replacement of the Madison Street garage — a move aimed at reducing costs and boosting revenues to support a new conference center and hotel project.
