  • The parks department worked with Last Flight Brewing Co. at the Parks on Tap event held Thursday evening to honor Park and Recreation month — 10% of the money was given to the JC Parks and Recreation Foundation.  Jefferson City News Tribune

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A pickup struck and killed a 9 year old boy Thursday evening while he rode his bicycle across County Road 391 in North Jefferson City—police said the 21 year old driver was taken to Callaway County Jail and an investigation is under way.  Jefferson City News Tribune

CRIME NEWS

  • Police charged four Cole Countians (Casey Logsdon, Ashley Ousley, Henry Ousley Jr and Jessica Morgan) with animal abuse after 22 dogs and cats were found in a mobile home filled with feces where many had no food or water and some were put down.  KWOS
  • Authorities said a vehicle struck and killed a child in a pedestrian accident Thursday night near Oil Well Road in North Jefferson City — emergency responders from Callaway and Cole counties responded while the Callaway County Sheriff's Office investigates the incident.  Jefferson City News Tribune
  • A Jefferson City woman was arrested Thursday—she allegedly stabbed her partner in the face with a kitchen knife.  Jefferson City News Tribune
