Lincoln University's Health and Security Sciences Institute is almost finished with nursing simulation labs, emergency operations training spaces, and a multipurpose event venue.

The academic facility will open in August - expanding health care education and public safety training for the community.

Gov. Mike Kehoe signed House Bill 2372 into law Monday to ban insurers from limiting anesthesia coverage during surgery, a change meant to protect patients from high costs.
