- ➤ An early morning fire damaged an apartment building in southern Jefferson City when firefighters responded at 12:41 a.m. today and controlled the blaze in one second-floor apartment window, evacuating all residents with no injuries—two families were assisted by the American Red Cross. - ➤ Blaire Hines, director of Lincoln University's Employment Academy, faced challenges in finishing her doctoral degree as she was only five credit hours from completion.
