- ➤ A list of arts and entertainment events covers Mid-Missouri this week—Dawson Hollow will perform indie folk rock at the historic Finke Theatre and Jefferson City's bicentennial celebration will feature Bobby Showers Band and Members Only. Missouri's Capital City will celebrate America's independence with food, music and fireworks during a week-long lineup of theater, music and exhibits from July 3—9. Jefferson City News Tribune
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ KWOS is hosting the Gear Up For Grades School Supply Drive in partnership with Brian Wear Plumbing to help local students by collecting essential school supplies for the Columbia and Jefferson City Public School Districts. The drive will be held on Saturdays at Hy-Vee stores+ with drop-offs planned for July 12 at West Broadway in Columbia, July 19 and August 2 in Jefferson City, and July 26 at Nifong in Columbia. KWOS
