- ➤ An inmate at Jefferson City Correctional Center was charged with felonies after he allegedly stabbed a corrections officer during a food tray pickup on Feb 29th; Gary Owen Miller—50 and already serving an 80-year sentence—faces charges in Cole County for first-degree assault, armed criminal action, violence toward a DOC employee and weapon possession, and a court date has not been set. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Missouri State Museum hosted an opening ceremony on Saturday afternoon for Missouri Makers, an exhibit that celebrates 40 years of the traditional arts apprenticeship program and features work by master artists and apprentices — the exhibit will be open daily until June. KRCG-TV

- ➤ The School Funding Modernization Task Force met Monday, June 23 at the Truman Building (downtown) to review the school funding formula with a focus on local tax effort.
