- ➤ At 3:48 p.m. on Monday, a caller reported a man clinging to debris in the Osage River, prompting about 50 emergency responders to rescue four people and transport two with minor injuries to a hospital—officials later found the other individuals onshore. ABC 17

- ➤ On Sunday evening, a Jefferson City officer pulled over a vehicle on Highway 50/63 near Shamrock Road and forced the occupants—Joseph Houser, 44, of Freeburg, and Katherine Rice, 33, of Jefferson City—to exit after they refused to do so, leading to the discovery of 113 grams of meth in a zip-lock bag and charges of second degree accessory trafficking drugs and resisting with arrest for a felony; both are held in Cole County Jail.
