- ➤ James Farris, a former Jefferson City teacher, will speak at Scheppers Distributing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to present his translation from Latin to English of Rev. - ➤ Garrett Frandson, a water quality coordinator for the Missouri Stream Team, waded in ankle-deep water at Ellis-Porter Riverside Park in the rain—he carried a D-frame net as he worked to check the stream quality. - ➤ Gov. Mike Kehoe signed three Senate bills into law yesterday after a special session in Jefferson City aimed at disaster relief, tax relief and economic support. The laws set aside funds for emergency aid, housing and sports investments—assuring local families and businesses of help—while the Governor stressed that the measures will protect jobs and boost future growth. - ➤ The Jefferson City Council is expected to vote on a contentious Walnut Hills subdivision proposal during Monday’s regular meeting. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Gov. Mike Kehoe signed a legislative package on Saturday that provides hundreds of millions in aid to help keep the Chiefs and Royals in Missouri + lawmakers approved the measure in a special session.
