- ➤ Local residents from across Missouri gathered donations at Quinn Chapel to aid tornado victims—many lost their homes when a May 2019 tornado struck Jefferson City. Jefferson City News Tribune

- ➤ State Sen. Mike Bernskoetter was recognized for keeping Cole County off the tax cap when lawmakers met late on (Feb 12th) to set limits on property tax increases. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ Bill Farr, a Cole County public safety veteran with over 30 years of service, received a statewide award on May 3 in Branson (the Fire Fighters Association of Missouri Phil Sayer Lifetime Achievement Award) that honored his 50-year career.
