The Missouri River Regional Library unveiled a new Sprinter Van at a Thursday morning ribbon cutting to expand library services in Cole and Osage counties.

The van—fitted with eight carts and funded by $75,000 in ARPA funds and a $150,000 local donation—will travel to schools, retirement communities and other local events, and will serve as a temporary library for Lewis and Clark Middle School this fall.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is moving to the second phase of Highway 54 bridge rehabilitation in Jefferson City.
