Jefferson City is hosting the 15th annual 'For the People Pow Wow' to celebrate Native American culture at the Jaycee fairgrounds today from noon to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 5:00 p.m.—the free festival will feature art vendors, food, raffles and clear guidelines for respectful participation.

A Missouri shopper won $2 million after buying a scratch-off ticket from the vending machine at the Walmart on Stadium Boulevard in Jefferson City on Friday.

He discovered the win in his car and said the funds will help his family get on track — easing future financial stress.

During a Thursday groundbreaking ceremony, city officials broke ground on a new river market at the end of North Chestnut Street.
