- ➤ Missouri Education Commissioner Karla Eslinger announced she will retire at month end after serving two years and leading efforts to improve school data access and teacher training, and her department will share transition plans soon. She said her decision will allow her more family time plus the chance to explore new career opportunities. KRCG-TV
- ➤ The Lincoln University Law Enforcement Training Academy held a graduation on Friday, May 8 at Pawley Theatre in MLK Hall for its 19th class. - ➤ On April 22, LU broke ground on an $8 million Small Ruminant and Meat Processing Facility at its James N. Freeman farm + the project will offer a new Meat Sciences curriculum, hands on training and community workshops before opening in spring 2027. Lincoln University of Missouri
