- ➤ Jefferson City will host several community events in the coming weeks including a senior resource fair at Capital Mall on Wednesday, a Treat Your Mother Craft and Vendor Show on Saturday at the Jaycees Cole County Fairgrounds, and Sip and Shop 2025 downtown with a $15 entry fee. Additional events include the state track championships at Jefferson City High School on May 23-24 and 30-31 and a People Pow Wow celebrating Native American culture on May 24-25 at the fairgrounds. - ➤ Families and survivors gathered at the Capitol on Friday to honor Missouri law enforcement officers who died in 2024, including Phylicia Carson, Officer Cody Allen, Lake Lafayette Police Chief Steven Singer, and Officer David Lee, while additional names were added to the Law Enforcement Memorial Wall of Honor. Governor Mike Kehoe and Attorney General Andrew Bailey will lead the memorial service today at 10 a.m.—the event offers a moment of comfort as community members remember the sacrifices made.
