- ➤ The Jefferson City Boys and Girls Club named sophomore Tyler Osby (Student of the Quarter for the second time) for his strong leadership and academic success. He also won Youth of the Year statewide (in a statewide contest) and credits his mother as his role model. KRCG-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State lawmakers have introduced a bill to require hospitals to offer emergency contraception & STI care for rape survivors, with costs covered by the Missouri Department of Public Safety. The new measure aims to ease access barriers for victims facing narrow medication windows. KRCG-TV
- ➤ After demolishing the tri-level overpass near Bolivar Street, U.S. 50 and several ramps reopened ahead of schedule, though Bolivar Street remains closed. The project was managed by E&C Bridge, LLC & MoDOT to improve travel in Jefferson City. Jefferson City News Tribune
- ➤ The Missouri Senate passed a scaled-back bill on Monday to create the Interscholastic Athletic Oversight Commission — a board for reviewing high school athletic appeals — and now sends the measure to the House for review. KRCG-TV
