- ➤ John Philip Koeller, a German Methodist pastor from Little Berger, shared his family's history connected to Alsace (a region once in the German Empire) and noted that his great-grandfather fought during the Napoleonic Wars. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Missouri faces a dental care shortage affecting all but eight counties as local dentist Dr. Lisa Bosch in Edina reported increased patient loads after nearby retirements, and Dr. Michael Jones from High Street Dentistry in Jefferson City noted more emergency visits due to a lack of preventive care. The University of Missouri Kansas City plans a new satellite program and expanded loan repayment to help bring more dentists to rural areas — a move under review amid debates over community water fluoridation — to address the ongoing shortage.
