KRCG employees volunteered at the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri on Wednesday, Apr.

8, repackaging food for families facing hunger. Their work supported the KRCG 13 Cares: Together Against Hunger campaign that helped ensure food reaches neighbors across several Missouri counties.

During a recent Grow Native! webinar, Nadia Navarrete-Tindall at Lincoln University explained that native fruits such as wild plums, persimmons, pawpaws, spicebush & elderberries support both people and wildlife.

The session detailed practical uses, seasonal yields and ways to turn the harvest into jams or other products.
