ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A family of five lost their home when a fire engulfed it on March 19 around 2 p.m. on Wardsville Road—community donations are supporting them as investigators look for the cause.  KRCG-TV

CRIME NEWS

  • In Callaway County, Missouri, authorities identified Orion Kenneth Mullins, 31, as the passenger arrested during a stolen vehicle pursuit at a Fulton home on Sunday and named Jefferson City's Dillion Johnson, 33, who faces felony no bond warrants and is considered armed and dangerous.  ABC 17
  • A Jefferson City teenager, Ronal Holliday Jr. (born 2007), was charged as an adult with multiple felonies linked to an armed robbery on January 13th in the 300 block of Benton Street that led to the arrest of three adults and three juveniles.  ABC 17
  • Callaway County police looked for 33-year-old Dillion Johnson of Jefferson City on Monday after he led a high-speed chase in a stolen SUV and had several felony warrants—his passenger Orion Mullins was caught quickly and faces a misdemeanor charge.  KRCG-TV

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Jefferson City Council is weighing a move for the Arabia Steamboat Museum from Kansas City to Jefferson City as its lease ends in November to mark our 200th anniversary as state capital. Advocates said the plan faces a nearly $50 million cost challenge + officials are exploring a lease renewal option, + while also considering alternatives like St. Charles.  KRCG-TV
