ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that severe storms on March 14 killed 13 people in Missouri, with 3 dying in Ozark County, 1 in Butler County, 6 in Wayne County, and 1 each in Jefferson, St. Louis and Phelps counties+ debris covered roads north of Seymour as 12 tornadoes touched down across the state.  KRCG-TV

  • Thorpe Gordon STEM Academy students worked with LU students on Tuesday to study the Missouri River using simple scientific methods. They did hands-on experiments to learn about the river's key features.  Jefferson City News Tribune

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On Tuesday, red flag warnings covered Missouri amid dry conditions and winds up to 45 mph—officials advised residents not to burn materials and to prepare for evacuations if needed, with Camden County issuing a burn ban until April 1. Crews stopped a wind-driven fire near Hart Creek that forced evacuations last Friday.  KRCG-TV
