Lincoln University President John Moseley wrote an editorial in the Jefferson City News Tribune during Black History Month, reflecting on the institution's 1866 founding (to educate freed Black Missourians) and its ongoing commitment to educational excellence.

The Jefferson City Public Works Department closed the West High Street viaduct Thursday for emergency repairs and it will remain closed through Saturday.

Officials said the city applied for a federal grant to replace the viaduct + add a connector bridge from River Market to Deborah Cooper Park.
