  • Lincoln University of Missouri mourned Rev. Jesse Jackson, a civil rights leader whose passing Feb. 17 brought memories of his 1992 campus address urging civic participation + voting. EDUCATION NEWS

  • A new school for K-12 students with intensive academic, emotional and behavioral needs has opened at the former Special Learning Center campus on Fairgrounds Road, now operating as High Road School of Cole County. SPORTS NEWS

  • The St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets rose two spots to take first place in Class 1 girls basketball state rankings when the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association announced the poll Monday afternoon. The team then earned a narrow 57-56 road win over the Fatima Lady Comets, improving their record to 21-2.  Jefferson City News Tribune
