- ➤ Demolition of the Madison Street Parking Garage in downtown Jefferson City began on Wednesday+ crews closed off the area over the weekend, and the work is expected to finish by May 5. Once dismantled, plans call for a new conference center and hotel to improve local public parking. ABC 17
