GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Jefferson City and Cole County officials cut the ribbon Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the new Wildwood Drive extension, which adds about 1 mile of roadway with a roundabout and sets the stage for future housing with Wildwood Estates (built using funds from a voter-approved tax). KRCG-TV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ UnitedHealthcare and SSM Health agreed to extend their insurance contract for 30 days, keeping over 140,000 patients in-network at SSM Health hospitals (including SSM Mary’s). SSM Health will continue negotiating a multi-year deal to secure patient access to care. ABC 17
- ➤ SSM Health and UnitedHealthcare signed a 30-day letter of agreement on Wednesday to keep patients in-network until a full deal is reached by Dec. 31 (patients lose network access today if an agreement is not secured). SSM Health says it will continue working on an agreement to ensure care. KRCG-TV
